Manufacturing, Processing & Supply

What happens between your enquiry and the material leaving our hands — sourcing, certification, processing arrangements, inspection and packing, run by one desk.

The process

From Enquiry to Dispatch

  1. Enquiry and material confirmation.

The desk works from the grade, product form, size and quantity — and confirms what is available as specified before anything else happens. Where the exact grade is not available, the nearest certified alternative is proposed for your approval, never substituted silently.

  2. Specification-driven sourcing.

Material is sourced against the applicable ASTM / ASME / EN specification from producing mills and certified stock. The specification and certification that will ship with the material are stated at offer stage.

  3. Testing and certification.

Specification material ships with its mill test certificate — chemistry, mechanicals and heat number — in EN 10204 Type 3.1 (and 3.2 where the order requires). See Quality Assurance for what the paperwork contains.

  4. Processing arrangements.

Cutting to size, machining, bevelling, threading, heat treatment and polishing are arranged to order requirements. Scope differs by material and form — the desk confirms exactly what can be arranged for your item at enquiry.

  5. Third-party inspection.

Buyers who appoint an inspection agency for pre-dispatch checks are welcome to do so — the desk coordinates the inspection window and the documentation the agency needs.

  6. Packing, documentation and dispatch.

Domestic and export packing is matched to the product form and destination. Export consignments ship with the packing list, test certificates and documentation set for the destination country, including Gulf requirements.

Capability honesty. Processing listed on this page is arranged per order and confirmed item by item at enquiry. We do not publish a fixed plant list — tell the desk what your drawing or line list needs and you will get a straight answer on scope, lead time and cost.

Sending Drawings and Line Lists

For made-to-drawing items — flanges to special drilling, machined parts, fabricated components — send the drawing or line list by email after the initial enquiry. Include:

  • Material grade and applicable specification
  • Product form and dimensions, with tolerances if special
  • Quantity per line and total
  • Certification and any inspection requirement
  • Required delivery date or destination port

The technical calculators can be used to build the requirement first — a completed datasheet or weight estimate speeds up the enquiry considerably.

Export note. Documentation for Gulf destinations is confirmed at offer stage — packing standard, certificate set and marking. Nothing ships without the paperwork matching the destination's requirements.

Have a Drawing or Line List?

Start with the enquiry form — material, form, quantity — and attach or follow up with the details. The desk takes it from there.
